1. Step-by-Step Export & Import Guide

Follow these steps to export your data from Trakt and import it into your FlixNChill profile:

1

Request Your Trakt Data Export

Sign in to Trakt.tv in your browser. Go to your user menu > Settings > Data (or your account backup settings), and choose to download your export archive. Trakt provides your complete profile backup in a .zip file.

2

Keep the Archive Intact

Do not unzip or alter the contents of the downloaded .zip file. Upload the complete file directly so all movies, shows, and episode logs are processed together.

3

Upload in Account Settings

Open the Migration Assistant and drag and drop your Trakt .zip file into the upload area.

4

Review & Sync

Review your parsed movies, TV series, episode progress, and custom collections, then confirm to add them to your FlixNChill library.

3. Frequently Asked Questions

How does Trakt TV show progress transfer over?

FlixNChill reads your logged seasons and individual episode completions from your archive. Shows that are partially watched will show up under your active TV tracking with the exact episodes you have finished, so you can pick up right where you left off.

How does the 1–10 Trakt rating scale convert to FlixNChill?

FlixNChill uses a 5-star rating scale with half-stars (1.0 to 5.0 in 0.5 increments). Trakt integer ratings divide evenly by 2: a 10 becomes 5.0 stars, 9 becomes 4.5 stars, 8 becomes 4.0 stars, 7 becomes 3.5 stars, down to 1 becoming 0.5 stars.

Are individual episode ratings preserved?

Yes. If you rated specific episodes on Trakt, those individual ratings are imported alongside the series and attached to those specific episodes.

Will this overwrite ratings or progress I already have on FlixNChill?

No. FlixNChill preserves any ratings or logs already recorded on your account. If a movie or show already exists in your library, your current rating is kept, while newly found watch dates or additional episode progress are merged in.

Are comments and written reviews transferred?

Yes. Written comments and reviews for both movies and series in your export are transferred to your FlixNChill profile, along with spoiler indicators and original timestamps.

Do I need to extract or unzip the file before uploading?

No. Keep the downloaded file as a .zip archive. Upload it directly into the Migration Assistant.

What happens if a title requires confirmation?

After processing the archive, a summary screen displays the results. In the rare case that an obscure title or special release needs confirmation, you will be prompted to select and confirm the correct title with one click.
